This is a relatively short walk from the Jubilee car park above Brighstone, up over Mottistone Downs and loops back through the forest.
It has a great mix of open views and wooded walks, ideal for kids.
The mapped walk is a loop, but there are many different tracks that run through the woods, and you can occasionally find a stick shelter for the kids to play in!
From the car park, head straight up the path to the west and up to the top. At the bottom of the western end you will find a crossroads of paths, take the right and head into the forest, keeping right on and cross paths you find.
If it’s been raining a lot, the wooded part of this walk can be muddy, so wear boots, or double back over the downs again.
There are no facilities on this walk, although there are shops, pubs and public toilets in the nearby village of Brighstone.
