This walk starts at the Freshwater Bay clifftop car park and follows part of the Tennyson Trail with a gentle climb eastward through the golf course.
Once through the golf course, the path carries on over Brook down to the Bronze Age burial mounds.
At this point of the walk, you can choose to come back the same way, or drop down to the north side of the downs and walk back along the footpath. If there has been a lot of rain, this section of the walk can be muddy.
There are a couple of styles/gates to negotiate, and occasionally there are small heard of cows on Brook down.
